The study of health and wellness has been a lifelong interest for Lisa.  From an early age she was informed of the importance of healthcare through her grandfather Dr. Phil Chain D.D.S. and nurtured by the wisdoms of family traditions.  It seemed only natural she would seek a career in a related field.

It was during a college spring break ski trip to Vail Colorado that she was introduced to Massage Therapy.  Her collegiate path of study at that point was yet undecided, and she chose to leave academia for a time and enroll in massage school.  This would prove to be a natural fit and meaningful career path. 

Lisa received her initial training in Oregon state, and has been active in the healing arts and spa industry for nearly 30 years.  In that time she has held private practice in 3 states, obtained certification in esthetics, coached, and practiced in multiple destination resorts and hospitality venues.  Her most recent position was as Spa Director for Rosario Resort and Spa on Orcas Island. 

Although fairly well traveled, Lisa has lived most of her life in the Seattle area and islands of Puget Sound and Salish Sea.  It was in 2018 while on a sailing expedition that she found Orcas Island and was welcomed into the family at Rosario Resort. 

As for many, Orcas Island has become home, a place for growth, healing, exploration, and transformation. 

It is with deep gratitude that Lisa enters the next phase of her journey as a wellness provider and leader.  It is her ambition to create a space that nurtures and sustains all, wellness providers, clients, and community at large with authenticity and compassion.

In her personal time Lisa will be found tending the garden, strumming her guitar, or playing with Hunter, her very lovable but somewhat willful hound!
